Pop Quiz! Are parents given a manual for raising kids? Any guesses? The answer is: No, we don’t have a manual but we have our knowledge passed down from our parents we can implement for our kids. We can also bring in our own skills we learn by doing research into what practices we believe would be best for our family.
That’s what today’s lesson is. Take your notes because we’re about to school you with some knowledge and skills we have learned growing up with our parents with examples, as well as what we’ve learned with conscious parenting.
In today’s episode we will be discussing:
How we came into our parenting skills
Why parenting knowledge and skills are important
How we can leverage knowledge and skills from our parents
Are time outs a good problem solver for children?
